At The General Assembly we believe in keeping it simple. Our philosophy: use high quality, well-sourced products; and don't mess with what's already a good thing. This is also reflected in the fit out designed by Six Degrees Architects.

We have an obvious affection for beer and we're not shy about it. We are the only venue outside the brewery to list the full line up of Matilda Bay craft beers as well as, one-off seasonal brews on tap. We are also one of only a handful of venues in Australia where you can sample Unpasteurized Carlton Draught from copper Duo Tanks.

Beer at its simplest is brewed using only four ingredients and the dishes that our chefs have developed for our menu also follow this uncomplicated formula. This allows for a simple, yet full-flavoured eating experience.

Staying true to our philosophy, our drinks list also has a number of minimal intervention wines, including organic, bio-dynamic and preservative free options - in some cases all three.
