DreamCity Reopens at DFO South Wharf
DreamCity, Melbourne's newest edutainment destination for primary school-aged children, is an amazing world where science, technology, engineering, the arts and maths (STEAM) collide in an explosion of fun.
It is set to reopen to the public on 11th of January 2021, now also with a brand new attraction “The Sports Science Hub”.
Conveniently located on level 1 at DFO shopping centre in Southwharf, DreamCity is a place where children take on the careers of the future and explore the power of science and creativity in everyday lives. Children can test a host of inspiring careers using the very latest high-tech equipment. All activities are designed by experienced educators to support the Victorian Curriculum and provide quality, hands-on STEAM learning experiences for children aged 3 to 13+. It’s a concept, first of its kind for Australia, that allows kids to have hands-on experiences while learning life-skills and playing at their future careers!
From operating flight simulators, fighting virtual fires, performing surgery, producing a TV show, getting immersed into virtual reality, building your own electric equipment, becoming an expert at coding and producing podcasts from the DreamCity studios, children will have an awesomely fun time and be inspired by the possibilities!
DreamCity opened its first centre in Melbourne just before Christmas 2019 to stunning reviews by parents, teachers and caregivers. While shutting its doors was difficult after such a positive start, the demand from families and schools for its high-tech, career-focused activities have been overwhelming!
DreamCity is Located at DFO South Wharf – right next to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
