Welcome back! From 11.59pm Thursday 10 June 2021, Greater Melbourne’s COVD-19 hard lockdown will end, although several restrictions will remain in place.

Our customers, retailers and teams’ safety are our highest priority, and we continue to ensure we are delivering on our COVIDSafe plan and adhering to government direction.

We can’t wait to see you again! Please assist us in keeping you, all of our shoppers and team members safe by keeping a safe distance from each other, and in restaurants, cafes and bars, a strict ‘one person per four square metre rule’ applies.

It’s also a requirement that all customers use the Service Victoria app to check-in via QR code at our entries and at all of our stores.

Thank you for your recent efforts in helping us ensure our centre is following advice to keep our employees and the community safe.

In line with updated Victorian Government directions, current restrictions across Greater Melbourne will remain in place for a further seven days until 11.59pm Thursday 10 June – we know, it’s no fun at all!

If you do need to visit the centre, please help us keep yourself and the community safe by:

+ Planning your shopping trip ahead of visiting

+ Keeping a healthy distance from each other

A FURTHER UPDATE TO OUR PREVIOUS ADVICE.

We have now been notified a change in the dates a positive case of COVID-19 visited DFO South Wharf.

While the most recent advice is italicised in the below list, we are appealing to the Department of Health for clarity, however out of an abundance of caution, we would advise anyone who visited the following locations on ANY of the dates and times listed, is considered a casual contact and must get tested immediately, and self-isolate until a negative result is received:

  • 23 May - Boost Juice (L1) between 12:15pm and 1:15pm
  • 24 May - Boost Juice (L1) between 12:15pm and 1:15pm (latest advice)
  • 23 May - Roll’d between 12:15pm and 1:15pm
  • 24 May- Roll’d between 12:15pm and 1:15pm
  • 25 May  - Roll’d between 12:15pm and 1:15pm (latest advice)
  • 23 May - Food Court between 12:15pm and 1:15pm
  • 24 May - Food Court between 12:15pm and 1:15pm (attest advice)

Anyone that visited exposure sites at the times listed are also encouraged to contact the Department of Health at 1300 651 160.

Our priority continues to be the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team members and broader community.

The centre and retailers impacted are following advice from the Department of Health including contact tracing and deep clean and sanitisation, where required.

We have also increased our cleaning roster with additional focus on specific areas we know customers are likely to make contact with and this will continue for the foreseeable future.

AN UPDATE TO OUR PREVIOUS ADVICE

Following advice received on Wednesday 26 May from the Victorian Government that certain areas of DFO South Wharf were considered an exposure site after the visit of a positive case of COVID-19 on 23 May.

We have since noticed the Victorian Government has updated its exposure list to include DFO South Wharf exposure site dates as 24 May.

We are investigating which of the dates advised is correct.

Out of an abundance of caution, we would advise anyone who visited the following locations on EITHER dates and times listed, is considered a casual contact and must get tested immediately, and self-isolate until a negative result is received:

Visit Earlier

Get in touch via phConsider shopping earlier in the week and before 11:00am to park and shop with ease. We recommend shopping on your own, or limiting who you shop with, as well as limiting your time.one or send us an email.

Security and Physical Distancing Officers

Security officers in high visibility vests are monitoring our centre to enforce physical distancing requirements as appropriate and are working together with local police.

Capacity Limits & Industry-Leading Heat-Mapping Technology

Maximum capacity limits are in place within the centre and within stores. Centre capacity and crowd density is actively monitored by heat mapping technology.

Increased Hand Sanitisation & Cleaning

Increased sanitisation and cleaning of all customer touch points and high traffic areas.

Hand Sanitiser At Entry Points

Please use the hand santiser located at each entrance and use hand sanitser when requested upon entering a store.

Wearing of Masks

In line with government advice, masks are required to be worn at all times when not eating or drinking/should be worn when unable to socially distance.

Physical Distancing Signage

Door, window, floor and freestanding signage are in place to assist with physical distancing measures. Please adhere to directions and guidance provided.

St John Ambulance shares Vicinity’s commitment to community safety. Working closely together, they have reviewed our safety procedures and support the COVID-safe practices put in place.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK WHEN I VISIT?

In line with Government direction, you are required to wear a face mask during your visit to our centre.

Help our community stop the spread of COVID-19 by keeping a healthy 1.5 metre distance from fellow customers and retail team members during your visit.

And remember, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, please do not enter the centre.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO KEEP THE CENTRE CLEAN AND HYGIENIC?

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team and the community is always our top priority, which is why we’re taking extra precautions to ensure our centres are clean and hygienic, including more thorough cleaning to high traffic and high touch areas.

We’re also asking everyone who visits us to practice healthy physical distancing and good hygiene.

WHAT SPECIFIC HYGIENE PRACTICES ARE IN PLACE?

In addition to our standard practices, we’ve introduced the following precautionary measures to ensure you can visit us with confidence:

  • Increased cleaning schedules of high traffic areas, high contact surface points, including amenities, parents’ rooms, handles and rails
  • The introduction of hand sanitisers in convenient locations including entrances and exits
  • We’re encouraging physical distancing (1.5 metres) so please keep a healthy distance from one another while you’re visiting our centre. Please follow window signage and floor decals around the centre including ones provided to retailers to assist with communicating distancing measures
  • We’re actively communicating and promoting the practice of good hygiene
  • We’ve deferred all centre events and activities for now
  • We are taking additional precautionary measures and continuing to monitor government advice and announcements.
  • Closure of playgrounds
  • Where available, use our traffic counters and/or digital heat mapping to identify busy zones to help us to actively manage these areas before reaching customer density thresholds
  • Automated alerts on occupancy, to actively monitor how many customers are in the centre at any time
  • Additional team members in-centre during peak periods, offering sanitiser and reminding customers of distancing guidelines
  • Automated, regular public announcements centre-wide, communicating distancing expectations
  • Security officers, in high visibility vests, are monitoring our centres, together with supporting local police to enforce social distancing requirements as appropriate
  • Zero tolerance on anti-social or disrespectful behaviour

These are preventative measures that each of us can take to help keep our community safe.

HOW ARE YOU ENCOURAGING CUSTOMERS TO PRACTICE HEALTHY PHYSICAL DISTANCING DURING THEIR VISIT?

We’ve introduced distancing measures based on government recommendations, to ensure the wellbeing of everyone who visits and works at our centre, and we’re asking everyone in our centres to practice good hygiene.

To help minimise close contact, we’re asking everyone to follow the floor navigations throughout our centre, maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others, and where a mask at all times.

  • Physical and digital signage is in place to remind customers to keep a safe distance apart
  • Window signage and floor decals have been provided to retailers to assist with communicating distancing measures
  • Floor decals and physical distancing reference points are visible in key areas
  • Where available, use our traffic counters and/or digital heat mapping to identify busy zones to help us to actively manage these areas before reaching customer density thresholds

We will endeavour to update our store listings on this website with amended trading hours, and any store closures, in a timely manner so you can stay informed.

We understand continuing community concerns about the spread of Coronavirus and are conscious of the spread of rumours and misinformation which is not helpful during these times of uncertainty.
